My Favorite Goods

Over the past year and a half that Goods by Gabi has been up and running, I’ve posted quite a few recipes. All of the recipes taste good and are ones that I enjoyed when I first made, otherwise they wouldn’t be on here! There are certain recipes though that I go back to and make more often than not.

Today, I will be going through my favorite sweet and savory recipes that I make on the regular and definitely recommend you trying if you haven’t yet!

Sweet

Double Chocolate Banana Bread

Obviously, banana bread is good, but add chocolate and it’s even better! You could easily just add chocolate chips and act like that’s okay, but double chocolate is the way to go! This banana bread is super moist and even though it’s double chocolate, it’s not too overpowering.

Snickerdoodles and Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Sugar cookies are okay, but snickerdoodles are like their more attractive cousin. These cookies are perfectly soft and if you have cinnamon on hand, there’s no reason to make sugar cookies when you could have snickerdoodles!

I feel like oatmeal raisin cookies never get the credit they deserve. They are delicious and hearty! I’m not going to lie, this recipe includes walnuts but I typically exclude them.

Chocolate Peppermint Biscottis

I first started making these around the Christmas season because they’re perfect for the occasion, but I fell in love and make them year round! These are the perfect cookie for a cup of coffee and if you love coffee like me, you need to try these!

This is not an exhausted list! Some of the recipes that I’ve posted such as the pies, cakes or cheesecake are the kinds of sweets I would make for a large gathering. The ones above are things that I make more regularly because they’re the perfect sweet snack to have on the counter.

Savory

Black Bean Burgers

I honestly make these at least once a month all year round! They’re so delicious and take under an hour to make. I can easily make them on a weeknight and then I used the leftovers to make burger wraps. Two meals in one!

Three Cheese Garlic Pizza

The garlic oil for this pizza makes the whole thing. I love to just make the oil base and spread it on the crust of other pizzas. It gives it such a delicious flavor. To top it all off (literally and figuratively), three different types of cheese! What could be better than that!

Black Bean Soup

I am a total grilled cheese and soup for dinner type of person. It’s a quick and cheap weeknight dinner. Now you might be saying “Isn’t it cheaper to buy canned soup?” No, actually, it’s not! I’ve priced it out and the ingredients for this are cheaper than equal quantities of soup (4-5 cans)! It might take a little longer to prepare, but it’s worth it when you’re saving money!

This is in no way an exhausted list! I make plenty of the other recipes on the blog, but if you were to ask me “What have you made for dinner the past two weeks” I promise you that almost all of these would be on that list!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this insight into some of my favorite goods! Let me know if you have tried any of them before. If you haven’t, test them out and let me know what you think!

Happy Baking!
