About

Welcome to my blog! Thank you for joining me on this adventure!

About Gabi

I am a recent college graduate from the University of Connecticut and I received a Bachelors of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology. My goal is to apply to medical school and become a physician. When I am not studying or working, I like to make delicious food!

Baking has always been something that I enjoyed doing. When I was younger, I would spend my weekends baking with my Aunt Kathy for endless hours and enjoying the sweet, sweet rewards after. As I grew older, my passion for baking only grew stronger. If there was an event at work or school where people were asked to bring in treats, I would start testing out new recipes to find the perfect snack to bring!

My favorite cake would be carrot cake and my favorite cookie are just your old fashion chocolate chip. When I am not baking, I enjoy going to the gym (to burn off all those cookies!), walking/hiking and snuggling up with my man to watch a good movie or binge watch a Netflix show.

I am in no way a professional baker, but I always put 100% in whatever I am making and try to make it the best I possibly can. If something I make doesn’t taste good or look good, I will make it again until I get it exactly how I want.

I bake because I love to look on someones face when they take their first bite and you see their eyes light up as each flavor melts into their taste buds and they rush in for another bite. I bake because it is a way to bring people together and share something that is hand-made and from the heart with other people.

About Goods by Gabi

I am starting this blog so that I can share all of the recipes that I know and love with others in hopes that they will do the same. If at least one person is able to benefit from this blog, then I will be a happy baker!

I know that in my experience, it has always been frustrating when I find a recipe online and it looks so perfect in the pictures, but what I pull out of the oven is nothing like it. These situations are what cause people to say “screw it” and just buy the store bought cookies or cakes instead. I am hoping that people will no longer have to deal with that frustration because now, they will have one place with all the recipes they need and that they know will come out as planned!

Again, thank you for joining me on this adventure and happy baking!
